WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR
Dear delegates
It is my great Honor and pleasure to welcome you to the first and the largest committee of ISMMUN.
I, Q.M. Ashaz Ali, Director of the Disarmament and international security committee (DISEC) along with my partner Sahil Sharat, assistant director will be joining you in your journey of ISM MUN 2021.
Being in the first committee of the general assembly, ISM MUN- brings out endless possibilities and combinations for Debate and discovering your potential. And it is pretty understandable if some of the delegates are nervous, I personally have been through the same experience, but discovering our potential is something that is crucial for self-development, and through determination and hard work, it would be something that can be achievable and unleashed.
As the director of DISEC, I look forward to see you all at ISM MUN 2021, taking part in the debates, solving the issues that has been faced at part of the world.

Greetings Delegates!
Welcome to ISM MUN 2021 to DISEC- I Q.M. Ashaz Ali, am very honored to be welcoming you all. I will be staffing this committee as the Director of DISEC this year.
MUN has played an important role in shaping the way I am, being more confident in general public to being able to solve critical problems. And let me not forget the friends made in MUN journey. MUN opens up opportunities to a great set of skills and experiences to be gained.
Having about 6 MUN experiences and this being an ongoing 7th MUN, giving me a marvelous opportunity to chair the first committee of the general assembly. Very excited to be meeting you all and seeing you all taking part during the committee sessions!
SAHIL SHARAT

It is with utmost honor and pride that I, Sahil Sharat, Assistant Director of DISEC, (the Disarmament and International Security Committee) welcome you to the ISM MUN ‘21! This is my 2nd consecutive year being a part of the MUN. My first MUN experience was that in the ISMMUN 2020. I was a delegate of UNHCR and I was given a golden Chance to represent India for which I bagged a verbal mention.
During my first and only MUN session, I was really scared to turn on my mic and speak anything but watching other delegates debate and defend their countries with vigour, instilled a sense of motivation in me after which I felt I was unstoppable.
ISMMUN strives to foster a constructive forum for open dialogue on complex global issues, including international peace and security and economic and social progress. I believe it’s an excellent platform for the delegates to develop confidence and leadership skills through experience. An MUN conference provides us with an opportunity to practice research, public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and writing skills in a safe and structured environment. Apart from MUN, my interests lie in sports and music.
It gives me immense pleasure to lead this committee along with my Director Quazi Mohammad Ashaz Ali. We as dais will try our best to enhance your experience and guide you throughout the journey, in order for you to have an exciting and productive session. We urge all the delegates to invest a fair amount of time in the research of the given topics in order to be better prepared to counter your fellow delegates.
By saying that, we are looking forward for a comprehensive, participative and fruitful discussion in our committee.
