At ISM-MUN 2021, we aim to do just that.
This conference is a gathering of outstanding individuals such as yourselves. Here, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself, deliberate, debate and oppose, yet learn to come together as a team for a common cause. We promise you, that these two days will leave you, enriched.
Crisis and your response to the same, is the cornerstone of the MCU session. These situations will test you to the hilt, make you think on your feet, take snap decisions, some harsh perhaps, to achieve the ultimate goal. Entertaining and exhilarating, the MCU session will hone your rational and critical thinking while also enhancing your collaborative and interpersonal skills.
This year at the MCU, I, Aditi Shekar, will serve as your Director, with Devika Pradeepan as your Assistant Director.

2018: My first MUN experience. I was part of the ECOFIN committee. Halfway through the conference, in the midst of an intense discussion, alarms were activated and the lights went out. The press corps broke in - CRISIS! I was a world leader, battling countries, defending my own. The crisis situation for me, was undoubtedly the most captivating and unforgettable moment! Ardent, fiery minds, all opposing each other yet coming together to make one decision.
I had done my fair share of research and preparation, but my nervousness occasionally held me back from debating to the best of my abilities.
In those two days however, I listened, I observed, I learnt.
2020: I registered for the first ever fictional committee of ISM-MUN. The crises kept me engaged and thinking throughout! More confident this time round, I gave it my best shot and bagged the position of honorable delegate.

This year, I am honored to serve as Director, MCU.
ISM-MUN has indeed expanded my horizon, nurturing me to become a self-confident and persuasive individual, diplomatic yet rational in my approach. It has taught me much about teamwork, compromise and empathy. I hope that it does the same, and much more for you.
As director, my foremost desire is to provide you with a wholesome MUN experience, and have you all depart with memories and learnings to last you a lifetime!
You have everything to gain, nothing to lose.

DEVIKA PRADEEPAN
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
A hearty welcome to everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Committee! I am Devika Pradeepan, your Assistant Director for this year and I am looking forward to having a wonderful time working with all of you.
I was fortunate enough to have been a part of ISMMUN since 2019, that is, ever since 10th Grade when I was a delegate of DISEC representing Ireland. In 2020 I decided to branch out and enrolled in the fictional committee. It was mesmerizing both times and I managed to receive a verbal mention in 2020. It was hard for me to speak up at first as I was used to keeping to myself. However, MUN helped and encouraged me to be more vocal and aware of various social subjects and different issues surrounding the world. Additionally, it has assisted me by enhancing my speaking abilities which will certainly aid me in the future as I plan to pursue a career in the field of Law.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe Committee is a fictional committee which means that you will get to stand in for the roles of your beloved characters and spend two full days in their shoes and take decisions in their stead. I assure you there is nothing like being a part of a fictional universe and surveying things from your character's perspective that brings out the speaker in you. It is truly an incredible experience and I look forward to working with all of you!
